CD Curriculum:
Development of the Whole Child
The Blair Lab Pre-K program focuses on all four types of development; Physical, Intellectual, Emotional, and Social and language development of its students as well as pre-emergent writing, reading, math, science and social studies skills.
Themes
Throughout the school year, students will learn about several different themes with a different social-emotional focus. While the themes may change from year to year, learning about cooperation, kindness, responsibility, decision making, self-awareness, social awareness and relationship skills remain a constant.
Learning Together
Under direction of the Child Development Teacher, high school students plan and implement lessons that are developmentally appropriate. Learning occurs for both the high school students and for the pre-k students as they work together and both groups learn from each other.
